Sony’s MMO shooter,Massive Action Game, is certainly a title with high aspirations and fairly lofty goals. At face value, it seems like it could be an awesome experience, as players will vie for multiplayer supremacy across sprawling maps with the possibility of supporting up to 256 players simultaneously. But according toBitBagand their supposed snatched survey from PlayStation Underground, it appears as though players may have to pay for the experience....

Saints Row: The Thirdis already looking pretty crazy, and it needs some sexy lost wrestler voice talent to match that. So it makes sense that Sasha Grey, Hulk Hogan, and Daniel Day Kim will portray key characters in the upcoming open world game with jets that shoot lasers and homing missiles. Sasha Grey (you know what you know her from) will be playing Viola DeWynter who, together with her twin sister Kiki, runs the Syndicate’s financial empire as one part of the DeWynter sisters....

Today, Sega has annoucedSonic Rush Adventurefor the Nintendo DS, the sequel to what happened to be a gem amongst piles of Sonic-smelling turds,Sonic Rush. Adventuremaintains all of the classic Sonic 2D goodness from the originalRush, along with an awesome plot twist involving pirates and a robotic triceratops. Sonic and his furry buddies will also sail the seas in 3D, using a fleet of up to five ships (including a water bike and submarine) to race across oceans, perform tricks, and engage in ship-to-ship battles that end in flaming pirate ships and lots of dead things....

Analysts make me laugh my head off sometimes. Outside of being professional guessers, they also some up with some ludicrous ideas, such as the guy who last month suggested that Sony would release a PlayStation 3 without Blu-ray. Unsurprisingly, Sony hascountered this ridiculous claimby stating — shock horror — that Blu-ray compatible PS3s were here to stay. “That would pretty much destroy the PS3’s backbone, our games were built on Blu-ray,” explained marketing manager Kim Nguyen....

We’ve seen plenty of gorgeous looking PS3 and Xbox 360 screens forSonic Unleashed, but how is the Wii version looking? The graphics are how you’d expect them to be — they mimic the style of previous screens, and are just as colorful, but are a Hell of a lot more jaggy....

While most of the people who would know have dismissed the rumors that Apple would buy Sony, at least something came of it.Reuterssays that Sony shares rose 3 percent on Thursday following the rumors, but later came back down a bit after some realized that speculation was being blown out of the water. Still, stock closed up a bit. It’s true that Apple does have a sh*tton of money in the bank, and they have talked about spending a bit of it on something nice, but the rumors probably stemmed from an article in Barron’s, where its author, Eric Savitz, was merely speculating....

As wereported from sources earlier, Sony will be having dedicated PlayStation Move retail events nationwide. The events start next with, with dedicated “Playstation HQ” locations and PlayStation Move Mall Tour locations in San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Washington DC, and Chicago. There will be a ton of games on hand, includingLittleBigPlanet 2,EyePet,Start The Party, and other Move-capable titles. You’ll also be able to get your photo taken in “Kevin Butler’s office,” browse the web in a lounge (only view Destructoid, of course), or try at a chance to win PlayStation Move Bundles....
