Don’t cancel your newspaper subscription or delete your web browsers just yet!Sony has revealedthat “Life with PlayStation,” the PlayStation 3 version of the Wii’s weather and news channels (all rolled in to one!) is facing a small delay.
Originally set for release at the end of July (hey, that was yesterday!), the service will launch sometime in August and will allow users to view a 3D Earth which can be rotated and zoom in on to access news and weather from around the globe. Finally, the power of a god is in your hands.
Much like Nintendo’s weather and news channels for the Wii, I’m not exactly sure I will personally find this useful. Outside of novelty, there are so many other ways to get the same information easier and faster. Would anyone here turn on their PS3 before cracking a paper, or turning on their PC or television?
