Each week onSaturday Morning Hangover, we play through the week’s Xbox Live Indie Games demos to help save you the pain and torment of playing through the drek which finds its way on to the platform. But they’re not all bad and we always come away with a few games that we quite like.

Here’s a quick look at the games we think you’ll find worth the download.

Production PanicDeveloped by MikeE80 MS Points

Control a factory floor in this challenging puzzle game. You have to move and redirect conveyors to ensure that the right items are being sent to the correct areas in the factory. A little bit like the classicPipe Dream, you’ll race to complete segments of conveyor belts and react quickly to changes. Challenging and fun.

Grand Theft FrootDeveloped by JackandLisa80 MS Points

This strange and somewhat complicated platforming game has a charm reminiscent ofCommander Keen. Fight against an evil corporation by stealing their “froot” and climbing all over their stuff. Visually basic, but solid platforming controls and a good bit of variety make for an appealing purchase.

Block Vengeance AlphaDeveloped by thedeadstu80 MS Points

Clones ofArkanoidrank pretty highly in my list of things I like to play.Block Vengeance Alphaputs yet another spin on the malleable formula by having the blocks fire back at the player and multiple balls flying about the screen. Keeping more balls afloat may be more chaotic, but it also rewards with big score bonuses.
