Unfortunately, I can’t share any actual screens or art from the upcomingTaiko No Tatsujinfor Wii with you asthe only official picture we haveis pretty grainy and ugly, so you’ll have to settle for another selection from my personal collection above. The game has been confirmed for a December 11th release in Japan, but as far as the North American market goes, there’s no word on whether we’ll get the game.

The PS2 version ofTaiko No Tatsujin, calledTaiko Drum Masterin the US, got an underwhelming reception, no doubt due to the inclusion of American pop songs, which simply seemed out of place in the game. While it’s understandable that a lot of American gamers would not enjoy the Japanese songsTaikotraditionally comes packed with, there must be a way to find a happy medium to communicate the fun of the game to the US without losing the charm that makes it what it is.
