Today we’ve got a few new items on theMinecraftfront, which means I have yet another excuse to write more about a game some of you are probably sick of hearing mentioned. One of these days we’ll convert you to the cause. One of these days.
First up, biomes! Biomes are being introduced as part of the Halloween update, and designer Markus Perssonhas posteda test video of what they currently look like. “Monster spawning and terrain features can be tied to individual biomes, so some biomes could get special trees, or special mobs, or different grass, to make them all more unique,” he writes.
So, it’s like real life, only blockier. Got it. Next up, word has gotten out that artist Deadmau5 digsMinecraft. Here’sa video of himattempting to get a pig into a cart. Highly adorable stuff. Anyway, this led to arecent tweetby Persson: “Woohoo! @deadmau5wants to make music forMinecraft! 😀 Mixed in with C418’s stuff? Hidden track? Trailer music? Nobody knows yet!”
