As announced today,Empire: Total Waris getting an expansion of sorts in October. The new Steam-exclusive downloadable campaign, “Warpath,” brings Native American factions into the fray and can currently bepre-purchasedfor $9.99.
Over on the officialTotal Warsite, there’s a good revenge-driven trailer complete with bullet points of the new features this expansion contains, but I’m going to break them down here for the uninitiated.
“Warpath” brings Iroquois, Huron, Plains, Pueblo, and Cherokee as playable factions, Shaman and Scout units that each have their own unique ability, 18 new types of technology, and a few other things.
There are also new Elite units like the Cheyenne Dog Soldiers, which, like most things in this world, cannot be nearly as cool as what I’m picturingin my head.
