It’s the kind of thing that could only happen in Japan. A Kanagawa man is currently wanted on suspicion of a hit and run and posters featuring his likeness have been issued by police. However, rather than your typical artist’s rendition of the villain, he hasinstead been representedby one of Nintendo’s Mii characters.

Quite why police are using a Mii instead of the typical drawing, I don’t know. However, the only plausible explanation is that the suspect was, indeed, a real-life Mii. So, if you spot any suspicious looking Miis in or around the Kanagawa area, be sure to let local authorities know.
