Sometimes I don’t know why I do things. The new theme for the tenth series of Backlog simply refused to exit my mind through any means other than this.

Time for the wonderful readers of Destructoid to determine my fate. Every weeknight on Destructoid’s Justin.tv stream, I spend a couple of hours diminishing the number of games which sit unfinished in my collection. Now it’s time for you to pick the next game. Choose from one of the following by making a comment with your selection.

Resident Evil 5Developed by CapcomReleased March 5th, 2009

I’ve watched the conclusion ofResident Evil 5but playing it just wasn’t in the cards. Initial plans to run through the game in cooperative mode soon gave way to inequity in progress. That and my own general incompetence at shooting things meant I became bored about halfway through. Of course, it’s also utterly ridiculous and I can always use a good laugh.

Dead Rising: Chop Till You DropDeveloped by TOSE SoftwareReleased February 24th, 2009

This is the third timeDead Rising: Chop Till You Drophas been in the voting. Neither of its prior appearances were all that successful but I also don’t have a whole lot of unfinished Capcom games just lying around to choose from. I’m sure it’s not as bad we all seem to remember.

Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbados’ TreasureDeveloped by CapcomReleased October 23rd, 2007

In the first year following the console’s release, whenever someone would say that the Wii doesn’t have any interesting games,Zack & Wikialways seemed to pop up. It’s very funny and filled with clever puzzles. It’s also pretty damn hard and initial plans to play this game with Katrina fizzled out due to scheduling.

Devil May Cry 4Developed by CapcomReleased February 5th, 2008

I like to swing swords at things and jump around a lot. As such,Devil May Cryhas always held a lot of appeal for me. But the series hasn’t been great since its first installment. It’s still fun and I always look forward to playing new installments but the passion isn’t there, especially withBayonettadoing it better.

Mystery Game

Finally, we have the Mystery Game. Don’t make the mistake of choosing this for curiosity’s sake, as people have clamored before to know what it was and groaned when they learned. The intent here is to select the Mystery Game if none of the other games appeal to you, so voting for it just because you want to know what it is is kind of adick move.

If the Mystery Game is not chosen, it’ll roll over into the next series where it will continue to be a mystery.
