To this day I’m still pissed off about the PSP release ofParappa the Rapper. If you haven’t played it, don’t. It’s broken so badly that it’s unplayable. How could you mess up button timings in game about rhythm? Worst. Port. Ever.

As you may have heard, the spiritual successor and semi sequel toParappa, UmJammer Lammy, was just released as a PSOne Classics download for PS3 or PSP this week. I was worried that this, one of my favorite games of all time, would suffer the same fate. Good news: I’m pleased to say that it didn’t, and thatthe control is perfectly fine. There’s no timing lag at all.

I’ve played through about half the game on my PSPgo and can safely say that the game play is fully intact. Series fans, feel free to pick this up. Newcomers, you have to play this game. At only $5.99, you can’t beat it.
