Call of Duty: World at Warneeded just one more week at the top of the chart to claim a record for most number of weeks held leading to a Christmas number one. Unfortunately for Activision,FIFA 09has claimed the top spot, batting the cynical sequel down to number two. This marks the first time I’m happy to see something related to soccer win at anything.
And yes, I meant to type “soccer.”
As always, the usual games are making up yet another unimaginative UK chart, withMario Kart Wii,Need for SpeedandBrain Trainingall making their weekly appearances. The only truly noteworthy thing this week is the fact thatProfessor Layton and the Curious Villageis at number nine. Otherwise, UK gamers are still buying the same old crap.
