Far Cry 2‘s showing at this year’s E3 throroughly impressed me, but sadly, I knew that my PC would not be able to run the game at its full graphical capacity.
With Ubisoft’s announcement of the PC specs forFar Cry 2today, it looks like my assumption was correct. Here are the minimum requirements, followed by the max:
CPU: Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz, Pentium D 2.66 Ghz, AMD Athlon 64 3500+ or betterVideo card: NVIDIA 6800 or ATI X1650 or better, Shader Model 3 required, 256 Mb of graphic memoryMemory: 1 GBMedia reader: DVD-ROM
CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Family, AMD 64 X2 5200+, AMD Phenom or betterVideo card: NVIDIA 8600 GTS or better, ATI X1900 or better, 512 Mb of memoryMemory: 2 GBSound: 5.1 sound card recommended
So, will anyone else be sticking with the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version ofFar Cry 2when it finally comes out?
