Further pushing into the casual and family game markets, THQ has announced that they will be developing games based on mind-body medicine advocate Dr. Deepak Chopra. The games publisher entered into an agreement with Curious Pictures today to produce games for seemingly all platforms.

Lord only knows what this could mean. Chopra’s an interesting dude, but I’m not sure I want the Wii dispensing medical advice. Nor do I particularly want to have my PS3 teaching me spirituality. So, what the hell is THQ doing with this licensing agreement? I just can’t conceive of making Deepak Chopra fun for anyone, which really just leaves educational software (and we all know how well that tends to fare).Â

Well, at any rate, they’re making something together. Something that we as gamers will no doubt be able to point to and laugh at months from now. Think of it as THQ making an investment in our future amusement and it’s a whole lot better.
