It’s great to see prominently featured Xbox Live Arcade titles get separate versions so soon after release. This is happening with Supergiant Games’ action-RPGBastion, out tomorrowon Steamand on other unnamed digital distribution services “in the following weeks.”
What’s the deal with this version, anyway? The developershave a postanswering this very question. Basically, it runs natively in 1080p, and has multiple control styles. One has you using WASD for movement, another uses the mouse, and then there’s gamepad support. Also, you may customize them. This is what we want, other studios.
My backlog has done a terrific job of causing me to neglectBastion, so I may just have to go with tomorrow’s release.
