As you may recall, the steady onslaught of screenshots from Southpeak Interactive promoting their upcoming fantasy action title,X-Blades, drove Destructoid Reviews Editor, Jim Sterling, to seekthe comfort of the bottle. An unsympathetic Southpeak has yet to yield in their quest to kill the man, releasing four more images from the game today.

When asked to comment, Sterling had the following to say:

“There is an idea of a Jim Sterling, some kind of abstraction, but there is no real me, only an entity, something illusory, and though I can hide my cold gaze and you may shake my hand and feel flesh gripping yours and maybe you can even sense our lifestyles are probably comparable: I simply am not there.”

Obviously, we’re all a little worried here, as no sane man starts inserting himself into quotes fromAmerican Psycho. Please, Southpeak, end this nightmarish assault before something truly regrettable happens to the man. Well-wishes and support for Jim can be sent to[email protected].

Alternately, if you believe that all of this is for the best, how do you think Sterling should take his own life? Give him some ideas in the comments.
