Space Invaders: Infinity Gene, a stylish update to the classic arcade game, will see a PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade release in September. Currently, you can only get this title for iPhone/iPod Touch (or Japanese mobile phones), so this is exciting news, for sure.
More than that,Infinity Genekind of rocks. And much likeSpace Invaders Extremebefore it, this seems like a natural fit for the console digital distribution market. Taito hasn’t come out with a price — or anything more concrete date-wise than “September” — but we’ll keep you posted.
