I hope you folks like adrenaline in your sports games, because 2K Sports has made sure to inject plenty of it intoNHL 2K9. How so? The soundtrack, of course. With fourteen tracks — many of them from old-school punk bands like NoFX and Bad Religion —NHL 2K9brings back memories of a simpler time, before emo was an entire culture (as opposed to a mere sub-genre of music).
What’s somewhat strange is that I received the post-jump press release (check it out for the full tracklist) announcing the songs today, but the game hit stores on Tuesday, September 9th. Weird. Releasing the game kinda lets the cat out of the bag, doesn’t it?
