SEGA has revealed that it has several “projects” in the works to commemorate the anniversary of two well-known franchises —Sonic the HedgehogandPuyo Puyo. Both games turn 20 this year, and SEGA aims to celebrate both birthdays.
Of Sonic, SEGA has already confirmed it has “two or three” games in the works, one of which will undoubtedly beSonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2. We also heard a while ago aboutSonic Anniversary, a game featuring remakes of the franchise’s most famous levels.
Less is known aboutPuyo Puyo‘s celebration, which came to the West originally asDr. Robotnik’s Mean Bean Machine. At the very least, SEGA will throw it up on iTunes for six bucks, knowing them.
In any case, two big anniversaries for SEGA fans to enjoy. Fun!
