Announced back in 2007, Sony Online Entertainment’s PC and PlayStation 3 MMOThe Agencyhas been somewhat of a mystery. While SOE has been quiet on espionage-based shooter for awhile, it’s far from dead; according to SOE president John Smedley, we should finally see it in the second half of next year.
What’s the hold up? Well, the game simply wasn’t good enough.
“There was a moment in time in our company where we looked at our own stuff with a clear eye and saw we have to do better,” he toldKotaku. “DC Universe [Online]was held for a year-and-a-half from when we wanted to launch it and now I’m very happy with it.”DC Universe Onlineis just now entering its beta; that title is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2011.
