I’ve got a backlog of games I’ve been wanting to play sitting on my desk stacked so high that it would make Gustave Eiffel proud. But what did I play this weekend? A game on my Android phone about a mouse with a nasty cheese habit.

A free, ad-supported version of Munkadoo Games’Bouncy Mousehit theAndroid Marketlast week. You use your finger to pull on the mouse, his elastic little tail acting like a rubber band as you send him flying through the air. The object is to collect the cheese bits scattered about the game’s 30 levels, slinging from hook-points and avoiding obstacles like killer bees. At the end of each level, you’ll catapult the mouse towards the cheese-hoarding Captain Cat, punching him right in his evil feline face.

It’s got a cute little aesthetic, and theAngry Birds-ish slinging physics-based gameplay is definitely addictive. Beyond just completing the 30 levels, there are plenty of unlockables for perfect cheese collection runs, like costumes for the Bouncy Mouse. Munkadoo is promising an update that will add additional levels this fall.

Bouncy Mouseis free on the Android Market, so you’ve got little to lose giving it a try. A paid, ad-free version is expected to be available for iOS sometime this week.
