As shown in this nifty video (viaReddit), essentially anything you may fit inside of a pot can be stolen, even if people are nearby. You simply fill the pot up with valuables, drag it away to a safe location, and grab the loot. The best part is, this isn’t a glitch.
Using a Stealth Boy may be easier, but this is certainly more entertaining.
