Konamihas announcedthatSilent Hill 5has been renamedSilent Hill: Homecomingand now has a European release timeframe of September.
The game, which is being developed by The Collective instead of Konami’s traditional Japanese team, is being met with tentative excitement from fans, myself among them. While it looks solid and the team seems to be made up of bigSilent Hillfans, the homages to theSilent Hillmovie and the rehashed “looking for missing person” storyline is worrying. In this game, it is Alex Shepherd looking for his missing brother.
No American date forHomecominghas been announced, but it can’t be too far off the European date.
