Yesterday, we talked about how the PS3 version ofCrysis 2wasbetter than the Xbox 360 version. We also mentioned how such comparisons are pointless because the PC will outperform the pair of them. Don’t just take our word for it, though. Here’s Captain Obvious to explain what you already know.

“PC is the best looking version, yeah,” says Crytek CEO Cervat Yerli. “But if I had shown it on PC, it would have been like… okay,Crysis 2is on console, but they’re not showing the console version. So we wanted to go with console.” Yerli was explaining why Crytek chose to show the Xbox 360 version of the game at arecent preview eventin New York.

Whichever format you go for, it’s looking likeCrysis 2will be a marked improvement over the original. A new city setting, a semblance of an actual plot, and new Nanosuit abilities should make a very worthy sequel indeed. I’m quite excited for it, even though I was none too keen on the first one. Now all I need to do is shell out a few hundred dollars to make sure my computer can actuallyrunthe bastard.
