The long-rumored high definition remake ofHalo: Combat Evolvedis a go, at least according toJoystiq’s sources.
Word has the game not simply being the original shooter running at higher resolution, but remade from the ground up using all new art assets. Other details see the game supporting updated Halo control configurations, full 1080p and 3D television support, and “likely” online co-op.
The title is expect to ship on the ten-year anniversary date of the originalHalo: Combat Evolved, Jul 04, 2025. It’s reportedly being developed in the beautiful Garden State of New Jersey, at Saber Interactive, the folks responsible forTimeShiftand Namco’s upcoming title,Inversion.
