Amazonalready outeda handful of new tracks that will appear onGuitar Hero: Warriors of Rock. But did you know that at least two of them are re-records by the original artists?

You see, these rock n’ roll dinosaurs used to record their stuff differently in the studio, and I don’t just mean high on coke. I mean, in order for Neversoft to track this stuff, they require certain things that they simply didn’t get the first time around, back in the Stone Age. Or, you know, the 70s. Perfect examples? Alice Cooper’s “No More Mr. Nice Guy” and The Runaway’s “Cherry Bomb.”

In the case of The Runaways, it was a reunion between Joan Jett and Cherie Currie, who is now apparently a chainsaw sculptor by trade. (What?) True story: When Alice Cooper first came out on stage during the last season ofAmerican Idolmy wife turned to me and joked “What’s this old woman so angry about?” Truth is, I don’t know.

Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rockis out this fall, and it’s the only music game that will feature rockers turning into monsters and animals.
