License manager Angela Jones said very little else, simply stating that she did not know what had happened or why the ad says PSP-4000. She neither confirmed nor denied further rumors of Sony working on a new PSP SKU, so the rumors are still very much in the up in the air.

Sony itself, naturally, wouldn’t confirm anything when we asked the platform holder prior to the weekend. Whether this ad was a mistake or not though, I would be very surprised if we don’t see any official mention of a PSP-4000 in 2010. It’s the kind of ridiculous thing Sony would do, especially with the PSPgo being as rubbish as it is.
