The October 20 release date forArmored Core Vhas just been pushed back to January 2012. It seems that the compay is using data gathered from a recent online closed beta test of the game, From Software received feedback from players that they’re working to implement in the final game, saysSiliconera. It’s always nice to hear that sort of thing. Namco Bandai is scheduled publishArmored Core Vin North Americaand Europe. The original plan was to release the title on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in early 2012....

At this point, it’s hard to tell what impact 3D will have at GDC 2010. But at least one studio,Crysisdeveloper Crytek, is prepared to blow out our eyeballs with the latest in stereoscopic crap. While there is yet to be an official announcement regarding future DLC forBorderlands, Gearbox level designer Jason Reiss made an interesting post to the company’s message board today with at least one bit of info that’s sure to make fans of the game happy. Yes, the level cap will be increasing and, according to Reiss, “it’s awesome.” He goes on to say that it’s “the biggest DLC” yet, which will be nice for those who thoughtZombie Island of Dr....

Gears of Warhas always been ridiculous. It’s a game about overtly muscular walking phalli with chainsaw guns that hack up creatures resembling steroid-infused bipedal frogs. All games are a little absurd though, if you try and compare their necessary mechanics to other media. Former comic book writer Josh Ortega clearly sees the farce inGears, and when he was writingGears of War 2, he had to come to grips with the way a videogame works....

Here’s a nice treat, just in time for the widespread fattening that goes on during Thanksgiving: SCEA has knocked seven PlayStation Network titles down to half price. Better yet, some of these games are even worth downloading. These are the new prices that go into effect today and last through December 2: Not bad. Not bad at all.
