Some brand-new copies of Vigil Interactive’sDarksiderscame sealed with a special card containing a 20-digit promotional code. Destructoid review: Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts

Rare is a developer that I desperately want to see flourish again. I know they have it in them to make great games, but these days, they always seem to get something wrong. When they announced that they were changing the newBanjo-Kazooie’s formula to vehicle creation, I figured that would be the wrench thrown into the works of this particular game. As a huge fan of the originalBanjo-Kazooie, I remained hopeful and was excited enough to download and play the demo right away....

Destructoid’s games of the week for 10/07/07: I’m sick edition!

I’m sick. Short of reconnecting with that ex of mine who was into Wicca, I’ve triedeverythingin my knowledge and nothing seems to be fixing my internals. My head hurts, my sinuses hurt, I think I’ve evolved extra organs specifically so that they could hurt tooandmy room is a mess. Sure, it has nothing to do with my current struggle with the Omega Flu, but I’m beginning to think the debris in my room hides plague-bearing rats; and honestly, that probably isn’t helping things....

[dTunes is a community organized blog showcasing the musical tastes of Destructoid’s users. For two weeks, the editorial team is commandeering the series because, hey, we like music too. To further expand your horizons, verify to check outthe dTunes blog.] After yesterday’sfine introductionby one Mr. Conrad Zimmerman, I’d like to welcome you to dTunes Day 2. It feels weird to be writing about something other than videogames. Not weird in the same way that it’s weird to type your own name in the headline of a post, but weird in that this was an oddly refreshing change of pace for me....

DW7 a ‘faithful and engrossing tour of ancient China’

Yesterday we detailedDynasty Warriors 7‘s Chronicle Mode, and it was revealed that Omega Force was using it to keep the main story mode more true to the game’s historical inspiration. Part of this newfound faithfulness to history is the Jin Empire, a new force that makes its debut inDynasty Warriors 7. “Up to now we have used the occupation of China as the main theme of the previous games, so no matter if you used Wu, Wei, or Shu you would end up unifying the land as your conclusion,” explained producer Akihiro Suzuki....

E3 09: Aliens vs. Predator goes on the hunt

As you may have read from our first look atAliens vs. Predator, I was incredibly excited at the idea of getting some hands-on time with the game. E3 2007: Project Gotham Racing 4 – New trailer

And here is the next new video from E3. In the lastfewmonths, we have posted first images and teasers ofProject Gotham Racing 4and, as you’re able to tell from the footage, this game looks fantastic so far.In the last few days, however,Bizarre Creationsconfirmed that there will be two-wheeled vehicles in the game and that you’ll be able to take part in any kind of race with both motorcycles and cars. In my opinion this simple idea adds a whole new layer to the gameplay and I can only imagine how great it will be to actually maneuver through gaps or just look cool doing tricks....
