Bethesda and Blizzard know how to sell you stuff

Bomberman takes casual to the extreme

In this promotional video forBomberman, we are shown what it’s like to share an office space with Bomberman during casual Fridays. Pretty funny stuff. After watching this, I realized that I’ve never really thought ofBomberman(speaking in terms of its early iterations) as a “casual” game but it totally is. It’s geared towards a group experience with simple rules that anybody can understand in seconds and have a firm grasp of in a few rounds....

Boy drops DSi into gorilla enclosure, hilarity prevails

An idiot boy at San Francisco zoo sacrificed his DSi XL in the name of fun when he accidentally dropped it into a gorilla enclosure. As you may see from the above picture, this led to hilarity as one of the apes picked the machine up and proceeded to try and play with it. After fiddling around with it, and getting some fortuitous photo poses out of the bargain, the gorilla lost interest and started bashing the DSi around....

Bungie’s new IP isn’t necessarily an Xbox 360 title

As you know, Bungie and Microsoft parted ways late last year. TheHalocreators switched gears to become a third party developer, jumping out of Microsoft’s pocket and into the open. Could Halo: Chronicles be based on the Ghosts of Onyx Halo novel?

The folks atAddictGaminghave received a screenshot of a Bungie employee’s Gamercard that show’s the employee playing through Peter Jackson’s upcomingHalo: Chronicles. Not much about the game has been revealed since it was first announced, but we at least know now that it’s in Alpha. Demon’s Souls sales are ‘impressive’

Games likeDemon’s Soulsaren’t supposed to sell well. A super hardcore, obscure RPG published by Atlus? Yeah, those games don’t sell well. Except the game actuallyisselling well, at least by its own standards. With a little over 150,000 copies shifted in October,Demon’s Soulsactually made it to number eleven in the US cross-platform sales chart. NPD gave the numbers toGamasutra, whereDemon’s Soulsis listed aboveBrutal Legend. While not in the top ten, and while the numbers aren’t exactly indicative of a blockbuster, it’s an amazing success for a game as humble asDemon’s Souls....
