From Fairytales to Fortresses: The art of Robin Keijzer

Odds are you’re not terribly familiarwith Robin Keijzer, but we’d like to remedy that. From 2005 to 2010, Keijzer held down an artistic role at Dutch developer Playlogic. His time there lead to 2007’sXyanide Resurrectionand 2008’s interactive screensaver,Tori-Emaki. Then there’sFairytale Fights, a hyper-violent spin on classic fairytale tropes. The visual style and character design definitely took on a starring role in the cartoony hack-and-slasher with Keijzer at the studio’s artistic helm....

According toEndWarprogrammer Vinh-Dieu Lam, the Tom Clancy universe will become one solid entity spread out between multiple games. Previously, Tom Clancy games only adhered to the storyline within their respective series. Now, it looks as if upcoming RTSEndWarwill become the keystone to anchoring future Clancy games together. Lam set the stage withGamePlayerby first describing some of the lighter tie-ins inEndWar: Some of our airstrikes come from the HAWX list of fighter jets, some of the Ghost Recon units are in the game, like Scott Mitchell is the commanding officer of the American army, so there are a few tie-ins....

Game Informer’s Epic Mickey cover really IS epic (update)

Check out the hotness! That right there isGame Informer‘s teasing cover image for the long-awaited Warren Spector-developed “Epic Mickey” game. Games of the week for 08/03/08: Watching women urinate edition

Justin:I played throughMetal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriotswhich was INCREDIBLE. That fight on top of the ship was the most satisfying thing ever. Topher:RHYTHM TENGOKU GOLDIS CONSUMING ME. Niero:FF VIis tits. That is all. Also,Eternity’s Childis HARD. Jim:CompletedPortrait of Ruin, including the Sister Mode and have been struggling to enjoyThe Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass. I really loathe the touch screen controls at this point. The touch screen is meant to enhance a game by adding an extra level of control, not destroy a game by removing all other methods of input and becoming an overbearing chain around your neck....
