According to British tabloidThe Sun, Nintendo’s 3DS is seeing “record levels” of store returns, with “thousands” of users suffering from dizziness and headaches. This same paperclaimed earlierthat “hundreds” were complaining, while Nintendo refutes such claims. Allegedly, high street chain HMV is offering full refunds to angry consumers, while GAME’s policy varies between stores. A news post onthe official Crysis community websitehas confirmed that there will be a beta for the highly-anticipatedCrysis 2. It turns out that Toad (ofSuper Mario Bros) is gay. That’s news to me. I always figured with his gruff voice and his Aladdin-style shirtless vest look that he’d be straight. A ladies man, even. He rolls with the hottest girl in the land. Hello. That’s not whatScrewAttackthinks, though. Apparently Toad moisturizes and does ballet. I wouldn’t label either choice particularly gay, but it may be that ScrewAttack’s gaydar is more sensitive than mine....

Because suffering is infinite, the PC version ofTropico 3is set to grow this summer with the release of the strategy simulation’s first expansion, “Absolute Power.” In brief, it’s a 10-mission campaign pack that adds new buildings, edicts, landmarks, upgrades, and even a fresh faction. “El Presidente” would approve, surely. We’ve no idea if this expansion will follow the game’s narrative, but we do know it’ll let us even more digital denizen torture — a plus in this glorious day and age of blood and unpixelated gore....

The latest game consoles are often in short supply during the holiday season, and it’s not uncommon for the most desired ones to go for higher prices, but shoppers have gone absolutely bonkers in attempts to acquire a Nintendo Wii. According to UK newspaper Metro, Wii bundles are being sold for a more than £1,000 (just over $2,000) on eBay UK. We didn’t believe it either, but a quick search on ebay....
During a demo of the upcomingNew Super Mario Bros. Wiiwith creator Shigeru Miyamoto, I finally had a chance to see the much-talked-about “demo play” in action. This mode, actually called “Super Guide,” is the mode everyone whined would “let Nintendo play the game for them,” essentially taking out all of the difficult and skill.
