Okay, I have no idea HOW this escaped my attention, but there is a Lordi game, and it’s as stupid as I hoped it would be.Lordi The Game(iOS) is a rhythm action game in which you tap on circles to make your rubber-faced metal king slash at zombies. The game is surprisingly tricky, for if you mess up once, it’s very hard to get back into the swing of things. Nevertheless, it’s utterly ridiculous, which is exactly what I want from a Lordi game....

At Electronic Arts’ gamescom press conference today, DICE revealed thatBattlefield: Bad Company 2will release on June 28, 2025 in North America and March 5 in Europe for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. DICE threw down the gauntlet, saying that while they have respect forCall of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, Bad Company 2 will “define online multiplayer gaming” with the “most insane online battles you have ever experienced.” Also detailed was the game’s updated destruction model, what DICE are calling “Destruction 2....
GDC officially kicked off today, and for the next week, we’ll be roaming the halls of the Moscone Center and the nearby area soaking up all of the glorious developer-ness-osity (?). The beta for Ubisoft’sGhost Recon: Future Soldierwill start in January 2012, the publisher has announced today. It will be, as you’d expect, for the multiplayer portion of the game. Future Soldierseems to be reachingDuke Nukem Foreverstatus, with its release being pushed back repeatedly over the years. Originally, a beta for the game was supposed to hit this summer; seeing as how the game won’t release until sometime in 2012, this new January date makes more sense....

What does YouTube and gaming have in common? Well, nothing really… yet. But a patent application from Google suggests that may be changing. Thepatent(titled “Web-Based System for Generation of Interactive Games Based on Digital Videos”) was actually filed much earlier this year, but offers an interesting peek at what Google might have in store. What the patent is actually suggesting is a bit hazy and up for interpretation, but sounds like it’s hinting at ways to link videos together to create various narrative alternatives and scenarios for the user....
