The ESRB says what we all are (or should be) thinking — Tecmo’sDead or Alive Paradisefeatures “creepy voyeurism.” This from the rating of the upcoming PlayStation Portable title which the ESRB describes as “a videogame in which users watch grown women dressed in G-string bikinis jiggle their breasts while on a two-week vacation.” Beyond that, the ESRB description continues to make the game sound even stupider than it actually is, believe it or not....

But at least it’s a faster ‘last’ than in previous instances. People in Europe wanted to know when they could expect to get their hands onFinal Fantasy XIII. They should have known going in that it wasn’t going to be a great answer. I mean, this is Square Enix we’re talking about here. That being said, it’s a better bad answer than it was with otherFinal Fantasygames. Producer Yoshinori Kitase tries to sound positive for a release that is “sooner than a year later than the Japanese release,” but his following statements toVideoGamerdon’t make Europe sound like a priority....

WhenFable IIIhits shelves on October 26, you’ll have two options — a plain old vanilla copy that comes with just the game, or the $79.99 Limited Collector’s Edition. The latter arrived today, and it’s certainly nice enough to warrant its existence. It’s bundled in a package meant to look like a book, and features a hidden compartment that opens up to reveal even more goodies. Hiding inside the box you’ll find a metal coin, along with a deck of playing cards designed by Lionhead Studios....

Remember that freeBatman: Arkham Asylumdownloadable content we’ve beenhearing aboutfor quite a while now? We finally know what the content actually is! ‘Bout time, right? Coming to PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 17 are two new maps. There’s the “Totally Insane” FreeFlow Combat map and, what else, an Invisible Predator map called “Nocturnal Hunter.” The press release wasn’t super clear on what the maps will look like location-wise, but instead described in great detail what the Combat and Invisible Predator maps are like in general....

Last year at PAX, Fighter X, Circles and other members chiptune artists held a small chiptune concert right outside the front doors of the Seattle Convention Center. The performance was free, all they asked was for a bit of your time to see what chiptune music was all about. Well they’re back this year and planning to rock out again! The concert is called Lo-Tek Resistance and will be going down at 6:00PM on Friday....

There was actually some controversy over whether this information should have been released without proper confirmation from Nintendo, but nevertheless, it’s cause for excitement and speculation....

As 2007 draws to a close, we say our goodbyes to what has arguably been one of the greatest years for videogames ever. With so many amazing releases, this year has been absolutely stunning, and we can now definitely say that the new generation of games has finally arrived. FromBioShocktoSuper Mario Galaxy, the hobby we love has given us so very much to latch onto, and latch we did. The online gamer community made memes, injokes and even obsessions of so very much in 2007 as iconic moments, characters and people surfaced....

Pyramind Studios is working with 343 Industries and Microsoft Studios on theHalo Anniversarysoundtrack, and it sounds like they’re goingall out. Pyramind Studios has been chosen to produce and remaster the original score Xbox 360 release scheduled for November 15th, 2011, and they’re doing it up big for this high-profile release. The entire original score has been re-orchestrated. The players? Oh, it’s just the Skywalker Symphony Orchestra, who will be recording at the little ol’ Skywalker Ranch....
