The beta includes the highly touted 8-player cooperative mode, as well as competitive play. InNick’s hands-on with the gamehe framed the cooperative mode and competitive multiplayer in a pretty positive light. The Cursed Crusadeis an action adventure that falls right into the hack-and-slash genre.Demon’s Souls? Not quite, but close in some ways. Think of it as a hack-and-slash with real weight, and with full co-op play. You’re not so much slashing as you are swinging. Less cutting and more killing. And you feel it. And it feels good. French developer Kylotonn has done plenty of historical research to put you back in the 12th and 13th centuries inCursed Crusade, playing as cursed protagonist Denz or his buddy Esteban....

Nexuizmay be a bit of a silly name for a game (“Nexuiz” is apparently a series of battle arenas in the game’s universe), but damned if it’s not going to at least look good. Developer IllFonic has revealed that the upcoming digital download title will be the first of its kind to be powered by Crytek’s CryENGINE 3. Set for release on Xbox LIVE Arcade and PlayStation Network this winter,Nexuizis a high intensity arena first-person shooter, that seems to take more than a few cues from games likeUnreal Tournament....

With the PSPgo, it’s very clear that Sony is planning to seriously compete when it comes to digital entertainment. In order to do this, iPhone App creator Russel Blackhas strongly advisedthat Sony embrace the non-game, and claimed that the PSPgo doesn’t always have to be “fun” to be a successful gadget. “The main thing that I think Sony could learn from what’s happening already with the App Store is that applications don’t have to be games to be fun,” states Black....
