Aliens vs. Predator: Hunter Edition looks friggin’ badass

Sega has revealed whatAliens vs. Predator: Hunter Editionwill look like when it hits store shelves on February 19. As werevealed yesterday, this special edition version of Rebellion’s shooter will feature a Facehugger model, Weyland-Yutani badge and posh lenticular postcard. I think this is ten times more awesome than the Modern Warfare 2: Prestige Edition. Even though I will most likely get a review copy of the game, I severely doubt I’d get sent theHunter Edition, so something tells me I’ll be putting a pre-order in very soon....

Backlog: Killer 7 being played live right now

Time once again for Backlog, my nightly effort to clean the cobwebs out of my gaming collection. We’ve been playingKiller 7for the last couple of weeks and it’s been completely insane. I want to say that I think the plot is beginning to accelerate towards a mind-conclusion, but that would be a lie. I have absolutely no idea what’s going on and can only estimate that I’m nearly two-thirds of the way through the game....

Behold the trailer for Mushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5

Yum. You may remember me telling youa few days agothat Cave’sMushihime-sama Futari Ver. 1.5might not be subjected to the company’s usual practice of needless region-locking when it lands on the Japanese Xbox 360 this November. While any Cave fan knows that’s probably wishful thinking, Makoto Asada says they’re at leastconsideringit, and backs that up by stating in arecent poston the developer’s blog that he’ll be meeting with Microsoft next weekend, and “would like to submit proposals in English in the form of a clear framework to deploy and support worldwide....

Castlevania HD gets retro stage from the Famicom days

The last add-on content forCastlevania: Harmony of Despairis arguably its most interesting yet. As of today, you’re able to grab the final stage and character, both of which are based on a Famicom title from Konami calledGetsu Fuma Den. The level itself is 240 Microsoft Points, while 160 Microsoft Points are required to play as Getsu Fuma. Kind of steep if you ask me, but this stuff is no steeper than any of the previous downloadable content....

We’re moments away from the televised broadcast of the 2008 Spike Video Game Awards, live from Los Angeles, California. CompUSA red rings with no repair in sight

It seems that big time retailers like Best Buy may be elbowing out some of the competition after all. CompUSA was shutting down some of their less successful retail locations in an effort to cut costs, but it looks like they have now decided to go out of business entirely. The chain was sold by its previous owner, Carlos Slim, to Gordon Brothers Group, who were responsible for the decision to shut down the reamining 103 stores and sell all assets....
