On thelast episode ofThere Will Be Brawl, Luigi was on a quest for Ganondorf to get a little something from Captain Olimar. Luigi completes his task, and in return, Ganondorf points Luigi towards King Dedede who might have some info on the kidnapped Princess Peach. We see more Nintendo all stars past and presentget introducedand even killed in episode five. This episode also sees the return ofAktrez in her Zero Suitalong with a few other lovely ladies of the Mushroom Kingdom....

RememberThe Eye of Judgment? It was that PlayStation 3 title that used the EyeToy to look at a game board on which you played a card game and the cards you played appeared on screen like some sort ofBattle Chessthing? Yeah, it’s a little weird but it worked fairly well and I found it to be pretty enjoyable. The Eye of Judgment Legends, the upcoming PSP edition of the game does away with all that extra, gimmicky stuff like the camera, cloth board and physical cards....

Kingdom Hearts fans know how great the series music is. The soundtracks have been coming slow, but Square Enix plans to catch up with an upcoming release that puts four games’ soundtracks in one collection. There’s three CDs in the upcoming Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep & 358/2 Days Original Soundtrack, and on them you’ll find music fromRe:coded,Birth By Sleep,and358/2, as well as tracks from the newBirth By Sleep Final Mix....

Ubisoft has announced a December 2 release date forPrince of Persiaon the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Alongside it will ship the Nintendo DS title,Prince of Persia: The Fallen King. I’m out of control excited about these games, particularly the next-gen version. I watched my first episode of Sony’s PlayStation Network digital magazine,Qore, yesterday — it had two full-on features about the game and it looks absolutely fantastic. I haven’t gotten my hands on it yet, and I’m not entirely sold on the Prince/Elika ally gameplay....

So good. Look at it! At this point, Ubisoft really can’t give us anything else to make me wantRayman Originsmore. The graphics whore in me is allooh-la-laabout the visuals, but it’s the 2D platforming roots at my very core that call out for this game. This new trailer, found on GameSpot, shows all the varied worlds ofOrigins: Seaside, underwater, snow-capped mountains, icy valleys, and fire-drenched caves. Oh, and huge battles with some really crazy-looking bosses....

No games for me this week, but I am looking forward toTransformers: Revenge of the Fallencoming to theatres this week. Yeah, I know it’s going to suck. A new study by Christopher Ferguson at Texas A&M University once again showed no causal link between violent game play and actual overt violent or aggressive behavior. Ferguson is a name you should know, as he is one of a handful vocal academics who look beyond laboratory effects studies and who look towards social and personality factors as the main causal factors for aggressive behavior, instead of video games. In this study, a final sample of 302 youths aged 10 to 14 were drawn from a representative sample in a city with a Hispanic majority (97% Hispanic)....

The demo for the highly anticipated remake,Ninja Gaiden Sigma, has hit the Japanese PlayStation Network store. As we speak, the demo is slowly making its way to my hard drive and then for the rest of the day, I will bask in the glorious 1080p greatness of Tecmo’s action classic, completely ignoring any and all of my responsibilities for the day. Early adopter burning FTW! Nintendo has announced that, less than a year after the launch of the DSi, a brand new, bigger, better DSi is on the way. We hadalready heardthat a DSi with a bigger screen was coming, but today we have been given the new system’s name, as well as the first images and specs. The DSi LL will be getting a chunkier stylus, but aside from that, standalone pics of the system don’t make it look any different from your average DSi....
