Imca has a big gun in this Valkyria Chronicles 3 trailer

It’s called the Vár, and it’s a customized combination of anti-materiel machine gun and fencer sword. It can be used only by its maker, Imca, a Darcsen squaddie now known as “No. 01”. Yeah, when you see someone with a weapon that big, you kindahaveto assign her the number one. Not that that’s a problem, once you see her use it. Imca keeps the weapon no matter what class you change her into, and her “Open Fire” special ability allows her to target all enemies on the screen....

Interview: Ben Ward on Blur

Some are looking forward to it, others remain cynical, but Activision is the publisher behindBlur, so it’s going to be big. Despite what some have said about the early showing at E3, I remain hopeful that Bizarre Creations has a fun racing game in store that will support a solid community and potentially bring back the good old days of racing games. We don’t know how much funBlurwill be when it arrives, but we caught up with Bizarre’s Studio Communications man Ben Ward to find out a bit more....

Legends of Wrestlemania roster is, well, legendary

When we talk about wrestling games here at Destructoid, we generally get a “wrestling is stupid” or “wrestling used to be good and now it sucks” response. Fair enough, but we think what you actually mean is that you haven’t watched wrestling since the 80s or early 90s and you don’t recognize the wrestlers in the games. Or, you’re uncomfortable with your sexuality and seeing guys in tights makes you feel … wrong....

Looks like the 3DS may be region locked

One handy thing about the DS and DS Lite was that they were region-free, which was especially helpful when Nintendo pulled its regular international bullshit and denied Europeans timely releases. The DSi, however, put a stop to it, and it’s hardly surprising that the 3DS looks to go the same way. An alleged email from Nintendo of Japan states that the 3DS will be region coded, which means your foreign games won’t work, at least until someone breaks the system in some way....
