TheUncharted 2demo that was limited to a few lucky people (and anyone that follows Geoff Keighley on Twitter) is now on the PlayStation Store for everyone to grab. The demo includes four maps, four modes and two co-op modes. You better start practicing as the full game will be out on October 13. As was the case with the already out Xbox Live Arcade release, this twin-stick shooter will be $9.99. I’m a fan of theDawn of Warseries, so I had a decent enough time withKill Team. Does it feel rushed, and come off as little more than a marketing vehicle forSpace Marine? Absolutely. But you get to shoot Orks in the face, and until the game freezed on me, I was enjoying myself....

Nintendo has revealed that theWii Uwill only support one controller at a time because of price concerns. Nintendo apparently has the technology required to support four controllers at once, but the publisher claims it’s too expensive for consumers. “We’re not planning on asking our customers to buy multiple Wii U controllers,” said president Satoru Iwata, making the decision sound like he’s doing us a favor. “In the future, we may look at what other opportunities there are for gameplay and, how having two of those controllers might create fun or interesting new styles of play, but of course in doing that, it would require a consumer to purchase an additional controller,” he told shareholders....

Actually, the 360 is going to make Tupperware a thing of the past — Xbox 360 isthe new flavorwhen it comes to cynical social gatherings between housewives who want to make their dreary lives more interesting by selling crap to their friends. 1,000 women across the US have been given $150 of Xbox-themed garbage in exchange to host an Xbox 360 party for at least ten friends and relatives. Nintendo tried a similar venture once before, but at least the family friendly Wii makes sense....

Recently Valve announced that the Xbox 360 version ofTeam Fortress 2(packaged in theOrange Boxcollection) is receiving a “massive” update that will “include pretty much everything” that Valve has “shipped on the PC in the last year.” That includes classes, levels, and weapons upgrades that 360 owners haven’t been able to touch thus far. The posting onthe officialTF2blogcautions that no date has been confirmed for the content, but we’re sure plenty of players are excited about their forgotten console port of the popular multiplayer game....

Microsoft has revealed some new accessories today, all sleek and black to match its current Xbox 360 S models. First is a new Xbox 360 Wireless Headset with Bluetooth, which is exactly what it sounds like. It’ll be able to connect to mobile phones, PCs, as well as to the Xbox 360 for online communication. It’s out in “early November” and it’ll run you $59.99. Next up is the Xbox 360 Media Remote, which seems to be a fancy refresh of the white Universal Media Remote that’s been available for some time....

Today, Konami announced a new promotion forSilent Hill: Downpourover on their Facebook page. The event, “Be Buried in Silent Hill,” offers gamers the opportunity to leave a little bit of themselves in everyone’s favorite vacation getaway. Konami is asking fans to put together concept art for a frightening burial sculpture. The top six chosen by Konami will then be put to a vote on Facebook and the three highest voted will be put into the game....

This isn’t the first time Runic Games’Torchlighthas been on sale for $5, and yet, some of you still haven’t bought the point-and-click-to-kill-things-style RPG. Considering the game normally goes for $20, which is more than reasonable to begin with, it would be unwise to skip out again. Do the right thing,and addTorchlightto your list of Steam purchases. Besides, your account is probably 90% full with uninstalled games anyway — what’s the harm of having one more?...
