This Christmas (or“Plusmas” as they’d like you to call it), three hip cake stores in Tokyo are set to sell a bunch ofLove Pluscakes for about 1500 yen apiece. Each cake is themed after one the game’s virtual girlfriends, with Chocolate for Rinko Kobayakawa (the short-haired one on the left of the header), Strawberry Shortcake for Manaka Takane (middle), and Strawberry Cheesecake for Nene Anegasaki (right)....

After all of thead leaksandwhat not, Microsoft has finally confirmed that the 20GB model of the Xbox 360 will drop in price to $299. It looks like the 20GB models are going to be fazed out though, as the Press Release (which you can check out after the jump) states “while supplies last”. Now before you go rushing to your local retailer to pick up a 20GB, know that Microsoft has also revealed a new 60GB model of the Xbox 360....

Series reboots seem to be all the rage in not only Hollywood, but in the games industry as well. Case in point,Dead to Rightsis making a comeback in Q4 of this year, according to the March issue ofPlayStation: The Official Magazine. The game, which is neither a sequel or a prequel, but “a new beginning,” is being worked on byReservoir Dogsdeveloper Volatile Games for release on the PlayStation 3 (duh) and reportedly on the Xbox 360 too....

CVG recently spoke with Namco Bandai Partners Vice President Oliver Compte where he gave some insight into the company’s future plans. Asked about Natal, Move and 3D, Compte had to be somewhat evasive, claiming that an embargo prevented him from speaking about the subjects. He did, however, state that Namco Bandai would have announcements at E3 next week relating to these topics. I don’t know if that means a 3DPac-Mangame or motion-controlledTekkenor what, but something of some sort will be announced and it will either move or have three dimensions to it....

I’ve never been much for the varsity look personally, but since the NES controller is popping up on everything from wallets to underwear lately I can’t say I’m very surprised to see it on a jacket. 80s Teeshas these for sale for $200 a pop and claims they are getting down to the last of their stock (the jackets are limited to a run of 1000). That’s kind of pricey for a gamer, but it looks like a quality item, if not a little … obnoxious?...

Microsoft just passed along the fact that there are now two new maps forHalo 2available for download for $4 … yeah, $4. This is great and all, but at this point, who cares? Shouldn’t Bungie be working hard onHalo 3and making sure we get our FPS hands on the beta and then the actual game? TheTrinepatch announced by creator Frozenbyte is now live for the PC version of the physics-based puzzler. Upon updating, players will get the chance to check out a brand new mission and, overall, play around in a game that is slightly less buggy. Frozenbyte describes the new mission, “Path of New Dawn,” as a more challenging offering “especially on Very Hard” difficulty. We haven’t had a chance to check it out quite yet, so we’ll have to take its word on that....
