Now, I’m going to do it again, since the trailer forChocobo’s Dungeonis now available for me to watch repeatedly and coo over. TGS 2007: Echochrome trailer wants to chrome your echo

The PlayStation 3 may have cell processors, the Blu-ray,Talladega Nightsand swanky hi-def graphics that produce a visual orgy of pretty colors and sparkly explosions, but the public response toEchochromeis proof positive that all the technology and graphical power in a system means very little compared to what the average gamer truly wants — great gameplay. It’s been proven through the ages, when the original PlayStation beat the Dreamcast and when the PS2 remained king against both the Gamecube and the Xbox....

The Memory Card .43: Waiting for Shadow

Final Fantasy VI Have you ever loved a videogame character so much you were willing to die for them? Not in real life, mind you, but in the world of a game (although I would most likely take areal lifebullet for Dr. Yang — I love that guy). There have been many characters that sacrifice themselves for others within the context of a videogame’s story. But this is usually during a cutscene or a scripted sequence....

The Wii’s SSX Blur in action

This new Nier trailer is … well, it’s just new

I don’t know much aboutNierexcept that it’s got ahermaphroditic characterthatcusses like a sailorand that Square Enix is doing something silly with its distribution. In North America,Gestaltis getting released asNier(no tag line) on both the 360 and the PlayStation 3. Whew. TiQal on XBLA this Wednesday

Come this Wednesday,Zumawill no longer be the only Mayan-themed puzzle game on Xbox Live Arcade.TiQal(800 Microsoft Points), like so many before it, will have you matching colored blocks in 120 different levels. WhileTiQalisn’t the most innovative title we’ve seen on Live Arcade, I’ll try to reserve my judgment until I get to take it for a spin later this week. Just because the gameplay looks familiar, that doesn’t mean it can’t be fun....
