Yesterday, the Australian Office of Film and Literature Classification rated the mostly-unannounced Ubisoft title,Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Predatorfor a multiplatform release. While not much is known about the title, one can assume it’s the latest in the series ofGhost Recontitle games that is assumed to be released in 2010. In afinancial report earlier this year, Ubisoft execs referred to the title only asGhost Recon4. This possible title could reveal some clues as to gameplay, setting, or story… but we doubt it has anything to do with Arnold Schwarzenegger or Danny Glover....

While OnLive had been available for customers since June, it’s been a fairly bare-bones service for the most part, but it looks like that’s about to change. With 40 titles in their catalog and a release date for the Microconsole device, things are really starting to pick up with the service. However, in addition to announcing the Microconsole release date, OnLive also announced plans for a brand new flat-rate plan for OnLive consumers....

It’s becoming such a common occurrence that I can’t even muster the strength to object —Painkiller, developed by Polish studio People Can Fly, will be the next game on the list of blockbuster-hopeful adaptations of video game properties for the big screen,Varietyis reporting. No mention ofhe who shall not be namedin the works yet, however, but the team assembled thus far has quite a list of accomplished pictures, including “Elf” and the upcoming Eddie Murphy flick “Starship Dave”....

Those wondering when Ubisoft was going to do something with thePanzer Generalrights need not wonder any longer.Panzer General: Allied Assault, an Xbox LIVE Arcade card game, will be launching this fall. Petroglyph Games, the studio who created thoseStar Warsreal-time strategy games andUniverse at War, will be handling the development responsibilities. Now, if the words “card game” make you wince, it’s worth acknowledging thatAllied Assaultis just as much a board game as it is a videogame about card decks....

As some of you may have heard, the camera with almost all of the pictures from the weekend was stolen on Saturday night, complete with the memory card holding the secrets of all the astonishing times we had at PAX East. I’m taking measures to attempt to retrieve the lost equipment, but I’m not too hopeful. That said, take a look at the handful of pictures below that made it to my laptop before the “alleged incident,” from Thursday night and Friday morning....

Before the latest patch, the PC version of theLeft 4 Deaddemo incorporated split-screen play. Gamers found themselves confused, angry, and craving blood after the feature was removed in the latest patch. Thankfully, Valve designer Yahn Bernier came to save the day for those who like to crowd around their PC monitor with a friend and explained (via the Steam forums) why it was taken out and how it will be an “unsupported bonus feature” in the future:...

The county supervisor election in Maricopa Count, Arizona is finally starting to heat up. Fliers aren’t the only thing Fulton Brock and Ed Hermes are dishing out as their campaigns come to a close. In a campaign mailing, Republican incumbent Fulton is attempting to smear the challenger Hermes by mentioning his record onHalo. From the mailing: Skilled player of popular video game Halo. Hermes was quoted in the ASU student newspaper as saying, “I am addicted to Halo and play almost every night....
