A title being an Xbox 360 “exclusive” usually means one thing: it’s likely to make its way to the PC at some point or another. Videogame blogWhat If Gaminggaming says that a source at the studio recently told them “Fable IIhas been an enormous success on the Xbox 360. AFable IIfor PC users would be likely imminent. Keep checking back with us for more updates.” That would, of course, suggest thatFable IIis indeed on its way to a personal computer near you....

Publisher Web site shenanigans, where would we be without them? The Xbox 360 dashboard update, complete with Twitter and Facebook functionality, was given a release date of November 17 today by the UK Xbox Web site, finally giving us a date other than “before Christmas.” However, it seems that Microsoft didn’t want us to know that, as the date hasnow been strippedfrom the site. What does this mean? Well, it either means Microsoft was wrong or that Microsoft hadn’t planned on announcing that today....

A while agowe talked abouthow game demos were seen as not being anywhere near as effective as trailers, and it seems a few developers are taking that to heart. Both Epic Games and Bethesda havecome out to saythatno demosare forthcoming for their respective titles,Gears of War 2andFallout 3. Talking aboutFallout 3, Bethesda’s Pete Hines said it was impossible to provide a demo of such a huge game world: “When you build it as one thing, there’s no way to portion off a section and have it stand on its own without putting the whole game in the demo, which we’re just not going to do … And it doesn’t really capture the fun of a game like anElder Scrollsor aFallout, where you can go where you want and do what you want....

Last month, Wayside Creations released atrailerfor theirFalloutfan film,Nuka Break. The final product is a 16-minute short following a vault dweller and his companions as he seeks out the pinnacle of wasteland refreshment, Nuka Cola. And it’s available for you to watch on the internet right now. I enjoyed it, myself. There are a few points at which the pacing slows a bit but this is a pretty stellar effort for a low-budget production....

TheFalloutgames are a series that has seen better days. Once the epitome of PC RPG gaming, they’ve been reduced to crap RTS games and even more crap console shooters. While Bethesda scooped up the rights to a trueFalloutsequel, Interplay, the original publishers ofFallout, managed to hang on to the rights to make aFalloutMMO, and according tothis SEC filing, they intend to do just that, and very soon. If there is a god up there in his magical cloud castle, I hope he realizes just how important this game would be....

This time around, the world’s most brightly colored and eye-searing magazine hasgotten its handson long-delayed Wii gameDisaster: Day of Crisisand given it a whopping 34/40 points. The game has been on the DL for a very long time beforesuddenly popping upa few weeks ago and saying “O hai, I’m almost finished!” I was skeptical of such shenanigans, but according toFamitsu‘s recommendation, it would seem thatDisasteractuallywon’tbe the overdeveloped mess that its production cycle would suggest....

Shadow Complexhas come out.Shadow Complexis fun.Shadow Complexgot a 9.4 on IGN. Predictably, some people have a huge problem with this. Sure, it’s not perfect and it’s got some glitches, but it’s solid entertainment — I spent 3 hours on the same Proving Grounds level last night, and I had a great time. But, as usual when we have any kind of review, PS3 fans come out to bash the game, and 360 fans start comparing the game to PSN games of totally different genres in an attempt to bash the PS3....

The team at Square Enix has a lot to celebrate today.Final Fantasy XIIIhas sold over one million units here in America in the first five days that it’s been out.Final Fantasy XIIIhas now become the fastest-selling installment in the franchise’s history. Square didn’t give a breakdown of whetherFF XIIIsold better on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 so we’ll have to wait for the NPD data next month to get a clear picture on that …....

Today, I was finally able to accomplish a life goal: meeting our oft-venerated and oft-vilified Reviews Editor, Sir James Xavier Sterling III, Esq. (I may be getting his full name wrong). Sunday, July 26, 2025, will go down as a banner day for this great nation, as Sir Sterling has honored the country we hold so dear by deciding to grace us with his presence — he’s making the United States of America his new permanent home....

If you’ve picked up a copy ofDragon Quest IX(and youreallyought to have done) then you may want to skip to your nearest GameStop on July 31, because you’ll be able to download an exclusive in-game map direct to your DS. Simply make sure you’ve played far enough to unlock the Quester’s Rest tavern (it’s not too far into the game) and use its Tag Mode to pick up the download. You’ll then get the Zoma Map at no charge....

We already know howYakuza 3is blatantly better thanFinal Fantasy XIII, but it turns out that it could have been evenmoreblatantly better, because some folks have reported that SEGAcut much more contentout of the game than was originally revealed. It wasn’t just thehostess barsand the obscure history trivia minigame that were cut out, it seems that the mahjong, shogi, “loser song” minigames were axed, as well as dozens of side quests. Estimates are placed at about 13% of the content available in the game’s first 6 chapters were absent from the English version ofYakuza 3....

Covert spy guinea pigs? Sure, why not. A Jerry Bruckheimer film about a team of covert spy guinea pigs? Yes, that’s happening, and it’s calledG-Force. Set to hit theaters this July, the film is about a team of specially trained guinea pigs on a mission to stop an evil billionaire whose plans include an unlikely plot to take over the world with weaponized household appliances.
