Guerrilla has revealed the second downloadable map pack forKillzone 3, Steel Rain. The pack contains two new multiplayer maps, Junkyard and Stahl Arms. Junkyard is designed for 16-player Guerrilla Warfare, while Stahl Arms is a large map dedicated to 24-player Warzone matches. Leaked God of War 3 gameplay: Watch before it gets yoinked

Here’s a quick sneak peek at someGod of War IIIgameplay. Make sure you watch it quickly, because Sony is sure to get it yanked from Youtube. For the time being, this sneaky slice ofGod of War IIIfootage has made its way into the public domain thanks to a sneaky midnight creeper, and it looks quite exciting. The most amusing part is the bit where the voiceover guy quite clearly says: “Please no filming....

MadWorld soundtrack on sale June 30

MadWorldis a fun game and one of the best parts of the game, to me, was the outstanding soundtrack. The music is so over the top with different styles yet it’s all blended together beautifully. The soundtrack was originally only available to people that pre-ordered the game, but due to a high demand,Platinum Gameswill now be selling the CD. The soundtrack is made up of 20 original songs from several different artists....

Magic Carpet, Sorcerer’s Maze coming to PS3 and PSP

I have not thought aboutMagic Carpetfor at least ten years, and I never imagined I’d be writing about it today. The venerable Peter Molyneux game has been rated by the ESRB for release on the PS3 and PSP, doubtless meaning that it will join the PSOne Classics store. As well asMagic Carpet, the ESRB has also ratedSorcerer’s Maze. If you’ve never heard of that one, it’s basicallyArkanoidbut with slightly more sorcery involved....

March 1 is officially PixelJunk Shooter 2 day

Q-Games president Dylan Cuthbert has taken it to the PlayStation Blog to share exciting news on the PixelJunk front:PixelJunk Shooter 2has been confirmed for Tuesday, March 1 on PlayStation Network. This looks to be a particularly strong follow-up game, especially if you are known to get bitten by the versus-multiplayer bug. Plus, Q-Games has been pretty good to us in the past. Like, unbelievably good. Chad gave ita five out of fiveon his scale of “A Little Amazing” to “The Most Amazing Thing I Have Ever Seen” back at E3....

Molyneux doesn’t think PlayStation Move is a big deal

The Sony Wiimote, codenamed PlayStation Move, was revealed in all its glory at GDC, and Peter Molyneux isn’t impressed. Claiming to have not been surprised (and who could, really?), the game designer and Microsoft thrall declared that Move was not as big a step as Project Natal. “We’re not really surprised, are we?” says Molyneux. “I mean, at E3 last year we saw they were having a wand, and that’s kind of what I expected....

Moments in absolute fandom: Dissecting the Halo 3 trailer

I loveHalo. I love theHaloseries. I’m proud to admit that. In fact,Halomeans more to me than any other current video game series. I’ve outgrownMarioand some others, andHalohas stepped right up and replaced all that. What’s awesome, is that I’m not the only one that adores this virtual tale — the guys at 1UP also show some hardcore love. Mark from GameVideos and Luke from 1UP give a brilliant director’s-commentary like breakdown of the entire 60 seconds of glory in this video, and I think you’ll enjoy it....

Monster hunts and clock towers hacked into Smash Bros.

Once again, I’m left feeling impressed with the Smash Bros. hacking community, and unimpressed with Nintendo proper. How cool would it have been for Capcom/Nintendo to release this stage as free DLC forBrawlas part of the promotional push forMonster Hunter Tri? How awesome is that Cammy outfit for Zero Suit Samus? (Hint: The answer to question #1 is “very”, and the answer to question #2 is “kinda.”) After the jump, take a look atBrawl-hackthat features Taki and Nightmare fromSoulcaliburLegendsfighting on a stage fromCastlevania Judgment....

NBA 2K10 Anniversary Edition may actually be worth the price

We’ve all seen plenty of decked-out versions of games — you know, those super-duper editions that are given monikers like “special,” “collector’s,” and “limited.” A lot of them end up being wastes of money: the content inside the big box turns out not to be worth the price premium over the game itself. (And of course, not every game deserves a special edition.) 2K Sports apparently knows that, and it looks like they’ve ensured that the Anniversary Edition ofNBA 2K10will be worth your while (and your money)....

Neat: BioShock Infinite ads and propaganda

You read Nick’s thoughtson the E3 demoofBioShock Infinite, so let’s journey deeper into Columbia with some ads and propaganda posters direct from Irrational Games. These and other works of art will be viewable in the game, but I’d rather look at them now without the threat of crazed patriots or The Songbird lurking behind me. ShameInfiniteis so far away — it’s looking like another winner. Ads and Propaganda of Columbia[Irrational Games]...
