Wait, what the f*ck is a Yelawolf? … Ok, it seems Yelawolf is a white rapper from Alabama who is on the verge of releasing his first major-label produced album. This is quite different from my initial assumption that he was actually a cowardly wolf from Alabama. At least I got one part right. The music video for the rapper’s new single “No Hands” was inspired byDriver:San Franciscoand Mr. Wolf himself seems to feel a connection to the game’s protagonist, John Tanner....

Closing out last night’s Activision ‘not, E3’ press conference, Neversoft performed and confirmed Van Halen’s “Hot for Teacher” inGuitar Hero: World Tour. The track, with its blindingly fast drums intro and blazing guitar solo, looked mesmerizingly difficult. Also confirmed (via in-game menus and music) were Smashing Pumpkin’s “Today,” The Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep ‘Til Brooklyn,” and Paramore’s “Misery Business.” Speaking of Paramore, lead singer Hayley Williams was on hand to prove that she’s both short and young, in addition to announcing that she’d be included as a “playable” avatar in the game....

When it comes to reading books, I’m totally old fashioned: I don’t like the Kindle, I don’t want to read them on my iPhone, I don’t want an audio book. I want the delicious experience of opening a book with a nice hard cover, turning the pages manually, smelling that new (or even better, old) book smell and enjoying everything about the reading experience. I appreciate the new ways to read, but they just aren’t my cup of tea....

Oh,echochrome. I bought you gleefully, lovingly attempted to solve your puzzles, and ended up finishing less than one-third of you. To this day, I haven’t gone back; probably never will, either. echoshift, on the other hand, looks to be more my style of game. The basic concept is something you’ve probably seen in a flash game before: using past versions of yourself (echoes), you try to solve time manipulation puzzles. A new MMO subsidiary of Korean developer Bluehole Studio, Inc. has been formed and announced this afternoon. En Masse Entertainment is the name of the new joint, and bringing over what Bluehole Studio creates to the West is their game. En Masse Enterainment specifically is “focused on selecting high quality online games and adapting, refining, and positioning them” for Western audiences, according to the press release blasted this morning. And it looks like the new group is star-studded: it’s a collection of employees from NC Soft who have experience with a variety of different MMOs and even networks like Battle....

Here’s a breezy, laid back, cute little matching game for you.Aqua Globsis slow paced and calm, but even so it manages to get quite hectic and be pretty challenging as it goes on. The aim is to join globs of the same color together while making sure they don’t touch globs of another color. It’s simple, but it gets tricky once loads of Globs are onscreen at once. It’s brightly colored, and the little globs are adorable, so it’s a worthy download....

3DS games look pretty good, but do they look fifty bucks good? GameStop certainly seems to think so, as the retailer’s penciled in a $49.99 price tag for two of the better known 3DS titles,Dead or Alive: DimensionsandSamurai Warriors Chronicles. The other games on the list are $39.99, which is more in line with the PSP’s game price structure. It may indicate that the higher a game’s profile, the more publishers will charge for it, which seems to happen quite a bit with the DS already....

Now there’s games, advertising, and even storefronts in FB. The newest store to come to the service is your friendly neighborhood games retailer, GameStop. GameStop will be the first games retailer to launch a store on Facebook. Gamers using this new store will be able to pre-order titles and earn/redeem points from the company’s loyalty program....
