DespiteHalo 3being a relatively well polished, complaint-free game, Nunez claims that he is one of a great many people who have encountered game breaking glitches, and he wants his day in court. “Halo 3does not function with the Xbox 360, and to the contrary, attempted use ofHalo 3consistently causes the Xbox 360 to ‘crash,’ ‘freeze’ or ‘lock up’ while the game is being played....

According toGamefly’s database, it looks like High Impact Games’ PlayStation Portable number,Secret Agent Clank, is headed to the PlayStation 2. This makes sense, seeing as how word has it the PS2 is just two PSP’s duct-taped together. It’s also a case of using history to predict future behaviors — High Impact’s once-PSP-onlyRatchet & Clank: Size Matterseventually made its way over the PS2 as well. Secret Agent Clankwas a fun, competent PSP title featuring Ratchet’s little robotic buddy, so this could be worse news....

While at E3, I got to get my hands on Codemasters’Bodycount, the new game headed up byBlackdeveloper Stuart Black. Promising a “pure” shooter experience where it’s all about the guns,Bodycountsounds like a good deal for guys who just want to kill stuff. I certainly like where it’s going. Even in this early, unfinished demo, enemies are pouring from every corner and they take some punishment before going down....

EA CEO John Riccitiello took atrip to Washingtonyesterday, to speak with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He made suggestions on how the government could support high tech industries such as the gaming sector. Other businesses could learn a thing or two from how video games, movies and newspapers have adapted to changing technologies, he believes. In what can only be called the sneakiest DLC ever, these $18 plushies can be scanned into the 360 via Kinect to unlock their in-game counterparts. I’m really glad that Atlus is putting some kind of video tutorial together for their upcoming DS gameKnights in the Knightmare. It’s not that the game is hard to play or learn at all, though. In fact, before the game starts, a very good interactive tutorial can be played through to learn the ropes. I’m enjoying the early stages of the game so far. My problem is that I’m scheduled to review this game, and I know I’m going to have a bit of a hard time conveying how the battle system works....

While the Wii has been built around the idea of motion control, it’s rather telling that some of the system’s best games barely use it. In fact, the Classic Controller is a surprisingly essential peripheral for any serious Wii gamer, and that is the reason whySamurai Warriors 3came to Wii first. A fifteen-year-old Korean boy murdered his mother, then killed himself, following a dispute over Internet games. The mother scolded the boy after playing too many games this past Monday night. The fight escalated, with the son strangling his mother to death. He then hanged himself. Apparently, the boy’s younger sister says he’s been playing “violent” games for around three years. This isn’t the first Korean death in which Internet gaming was implicated....

Just Cause 2 ’s environment, a colorful island named Panau, is being called a “playground” by Avalanche Studios. As explained in the latest developer diary, the island is rich with opportunities — players can hijack cars, boats and helicopters to execute missions in Panau’s city, jungle, desert, and beach areas.Just Cause 2is essentially an open-world-ass, open-world action game. But it’s not the max. There’s a realistic grounding here. Rico may have a bananas grappling hook, but doesn’t possess the tentacle-laden, wall-running powers of Mercer inPrototypeor a magical hammer that can smash an entire planet like the one included inRed Faction: Guerrilla....

New details have emerged regarding the release ofProfessor Layton and the Last Specteron Nintendo DS. The fourth installment in the puzzle-solving mystery series begins a new trilogy which acts as a prequel to the detective’s prior adventures and explains how Layton and his assistant Luke came to be together. The game will have been out in Japan for nearly two years by its October 17 release in the US, so this isn’t exactly a new game....

Recently Ubisoft announced and releasedits UPlay service to the gaming masses, and the gaming masses looked on and didn’t care all that much. The service is yet another way to organize your games and get achievements, and seems pretty cool for those on the PC, but utterly irrelevant to those who play Ubisoft games on the 360 or PS3.
