I loved the originalDead Rising, and it is a really wonderful thing to see that the game is making a solid return to gamer’s minds withDead Rising 2. Capcom and Blue Castle Games are clearly making a title that is going to be a hit with fans and probably wrangle in a few more. At X10 last night, I had the chance to get some hands-on time with the game, and even without hitting the jump, I can tell you that it’s just as much fun as you’d expect....
I know, I know —Adventures of Shuggyhas an off-putting name. But, it’s worth a look. Really, it is! This game is a solid platformer that revolves around single-room levels, many of which have different mechanics. One involves room tilting, while another takes a page fromP.B. Winterbottom. Variety is something platformers easily — and often will — botch.Adventures of Shuggyis $10, and if nothing else, give the demo a play when it hits Xbox Live this Wednesday....
Alien Hominid HD: I like it, but damn, it just gets real old real fast for me. Maybe it’s the insane difficulty level or just the feeling like I’m doing the same things over and over, the game just didn’t catch on for me like I thought it would. Well, just in case you’re not like me and are a huge fan of this title, Microsoft has unleashed a wave of new content related toAlien Hominid HD....

It’s coming to North America and Europe in September (9 and 28, respectively) so here you go, have some new screenshots for this old title. To its credit,Yakuza 2looks very violent, and the image of a man getting a golf club to the face is pretty neat....
Games on Demand, the Xbox 360’s digital distribution service for full retail games, is now a thing on PC through Games for Windows LIVE. The main difference here is fiercer competition (Steam, Impulse) and a different selection of titles to choose from. So this week has been pretty much a slow week on YTMND land. I tried to find some good ones but these were the best I could get. Don’t get me wrong, they may get a chuckle out of you. I think it’s safe to say that Microsoft will be focusing on Kinect this E3, set to go down early June in Los Angeles. A source tells Siliconera that something calledKinect Fun Labis in the works for a reveal at the event. It sounds…fun, and Kinect-y. You may be imagining some sort of a game of minigames using Kinect motions. I’m picturing a game where you have fun with a lively virtual Labrador Retriever puppy...

Funcom would just like you all to know thatAge of Conanis still coming to the Xbox 360, despite a wealth of evidence telling us that it will never happen in a million years. The developer stated that the MMO is still gearing up for a console release, whether you like it or not. “We obviously had many more challenges than we envisioned getting our technology to adapt to the console platform,” says game director Craig Morrison....
As the prices of the other consoles out therecontinue to steadily drop, sales of the Wii have taken a turn for the worse. In fact, last month, Wii sales were down a whopping 39 percent from the previous year. Industry analyst Michael Pachter doesn’t foresee things getting any better, either — not unless aWii price cutis on the horizon. Here’s what he had to say: With the core PS3 and Xbox 360 models priced only USD 50 higher than the Wii, we expect year-over-year sales of Wii hardware to continue their annual declines until the company either changes its bundle or lowers price … Wii unit sales are 50 per cent below last year’s level over the last five months, and we think that September sales will repeat the pattern....
