Square Enix, seemingly encouraged by the hugedownload numbersforFinal Fantasy VII,has revealedthat the PSOne version of the originalFinal Fantasyis its latest revisited classic on the PlayStation Network.Final Fantasy: Originsmade an appearance on the Japanese PSN today, though currently there is no word on when North America or Europe can get their grotty hands on it.
Final Fantasyis to Square Enix whatResident Evilis to Capcom, being that the original game has been released, remade and re-released roughly 800,000,000 times. One more release isn’t going to hurt, and it’s an encouraging sign that Square Enix will continue to support the PSN with its back catalogue of awesome PSOne games. CouldFinal Fantasy IXmake an appearance in the future? I certainly hope that my favoriteFFgame is on the cards.
