You shouldn’t have to wait too much longer as OnLive’s head Steve Perlmansaysthat the little orange and black box should be available by the end of 2010. “When we get to what we call ‘cruising altitude’ — this is the bumpy takeoff — we can introduce the Microconsole. It’s a walk before you run sorta thing. Frankly, this is the quietest — well, it’s not the quietest, but it’s one of the quieter times of the year for gaming — the fourth quarter is the really big ramp up.” He went on to confirm that the home system would indeed be here before 2011 and that OnLive is hard at work at getting everything running as smoothly as possible.

From people I know who have used OnLive they seem to have pretty positive things to say and that free year is really tempting. Oh, and as an added tease the service is already working for beta testers on iPad, iPhone and Android. Anyone planning to jump in?
