Last week Ubisoft released theSplinter Cell HD Trilogy,an HD compilation ofSplinter Cell,Pandora Tomorrow, andChaos Theory. However rather than update the games, they decided to go ahead and remove features entirely. Victims of Ubisoft’s axe include missing multiplayer modes,Chaos Theory‘s co-op campaign, and a complete lack of an option for players who use inverted controls.

Ubisoft aren’t only releasing an inferior product under the guise of a pretty HD re-release, but are also alienating customers and a sizable portion of their fan-base. The compilation will be unplayable for those that are accustomed to inverted controls. I can’t imagine being forced to play a game with inverted controls. So if you’re unfortunate enough to think backwards, I sure hope you enjoylookingat the game rather than actuallyplayingit.
