According toIGN, Microsoft has announced that the co-op demo for the Microsoft publishedCrackdownhas been delayed until sometime before the end of January.

The demo was originally scheduled to hitXboxLive this Thursday, January 18th. The demo is apparently ready to go, but still undergoing the dreaded and nebulous “certification process” that has plagued everything from game demos to Live Arcade releases since theconsole’slaunch.

What’s baffling is that Microsoft and developerRealtimeWorlds announced the date for both the demo and the gamenearly one month ago. Why it’s so difficult to get a demo through theXboxLive pipeline is unknown, but it’s obvious (and has been for quite some time) that someone needs to work on cutting down some of this MS red tape.
