Thanks to everyone who participated last month — we got a bunch of wonderful entries, and I’m glad to see more people writing blogs who haven’t written them in the past. Let’s keep it up for March!

This month, I’d like you to write something about game difficulty. As the last few Musings have been, the topic is wide open. Some suggestions include (but are not limited to): Are games easier or harder than they used to be? How important is accessibility vs. difficulty? Can a game be balls-crushingly difficult or a complete cakewalk while still having mass appeal? What game difficulty do you normally play on and why? Does the level of difficulty in a game where you’re able to manually select it significantly change the gaming experience? Is there a specific game you can think of that gets the difficulty level perfect?

Write about anything you like for this Musing, as long as the central concept of your blog directly relates to ease and/or difficulty in games.

To participate, just click on your blog up there in the upper right of the screen, go to“Post A Blog“,title your post “Technical Difficulties: WhateverYourTitleIs”, make sure you pick the “Monthly Musing” from the tag list (this is important!), write it up, and set it live. If your article is particularly well-written or sparks interesting discussion, we’ll stick it up on the front page. Don’t forget to read thethe guidelines. A good blog will get promoted regardless, but following all these rules will really help me out, and help get your blogs to the front page faster.
